As-Suffa Childrens Education
As-Suffa Education is Derby Jamia Mosque’s flagship education project aimed at teaching children Islamic Studies and Quranic Studies from a young age.
Funeral Services
Derby Jamia Mosque has the state of the art funeral facillities, including matham Puri area, a fully equipped ghusal khana and freezer storage space for the Mayyath.
Nikah Services
Our Imaams are registered to conduct Nikkah services as per the Sunnah. The mosque has facillities for this service to be conducted in the Masjd area or externally.
Islamic Courses & Training
Our scholars reglarly hold courses in Fiqh and Aqeedah throughout the year. These range from short one day courses, to courses spanning over a few months or even years depending on the level and course of study.
Religious Events
From Mawlid events, to Eid seminars, Derby Jamia Mosque have been actively planning events for key Islamic dates as well as events to host special guests known for their knowlege, education and spirituality.
Islamic Councelling
Allah puts us all through tribulations sometimes, we know life is a test. But its how we deal with things that makes all the difference. We are able to provide medication and councelling services for people in the community.

From Humble Roots …
Derby Jamia Mosque (DJM) is a vital hub for worship, community engagement, and cultural enrichment for the Muslim population in Derby, England. Established in the late 1970s, it was Derby’s first mosque, originally located on Dairyhouse Road. Over the years, as the Muslim community expanded, so did the mosque’s role and facilities.
Recognising the increasing needs of worshippers, DJM evolved into a larger and more dynamic institution, offering not only prayer services but also educational programs, community support, and interfaith initiatives.

Today, the main mosque on Rosehill Street stands as one of the most significant Islamic centres in the region, with the capacity to accommodate over 4,000 worshippers. It serves as a spiritual and social focal point, hosting religious gatherings, Islamic classes, and charitable activities that benefit the wider community.
